Reading Workshop
This week we will be learning about the literary element: story shape. We will read stories that are circular, repetitive, linear, and stories with font variations that clue the reader on how to use expression while reading.
Writing Workshop
This week we will be continuing to write narrative stories, fairy tales, fables, and folktales. We will share and publish our work as it is completed.
Science
This week we will learn about our environment. We will study ways that we can help to take care of our planet.
Math
This week we will be working on estimating and measuring capacity in milliliters and liters; Estimating and measuring mass in grams and kilograms; Changing units of length, capacity, and mass to equivalent units and comparing measures; Reading thermometers above and below zero in Fahrenheit and Celsius thermometers
Reading Homework
You are required to read at least 60 minutes this week to receive full credit on your homework. You may read 15 minutes each night, or you can read extra on any night to complete your 60 minutes.
